Destin West Rv #02 Motorhome

We loved our stay just hated we had to leave early due to hurricane Helene. I know it did not reach here but if we hadn't left when we did we may not have made it home due to all the bad weather that was heading our way at home. Hope to come back again.

We just spent 9 days there and loved every day!! The RV resort was well maintained and beautiful! The staff was very friendly and helpful with any need we had.

Great Park

Great RV campground, website pics were accurate. Everything was clean on arrival. Check in was quick but had several RVs trying to check in at same time. Would be more efficient if you could park RV in your site assigned, then come back to office to register. The access to the resort makes the place very worthwhile. Great value since it includes access to Island amenities across the street. Dock in the water was out of service, would be nice if they could repair that. Paved sites were very nice, hookups were in good shape. It was nice that they picked up trash daily at each site.

our stay was just as we expected, everything was great, clean, manager helped us check in and as always
no problems, very helpful and stress free.
We will be coming back

The even park was clean and nice . The swimming pool was great the views were good. The one thing was it was pretty noisy from businesses on both sides and a main road out front that has a lot of traffic. I would say it was an okay place to go and stay in your RV for short stays.

WE had a great vacation at DestinWEst RV resort. Great, convenient location on Okaloosa island with it being bayfront and across the street from the Gulf. Staff was professional and helpful. Only one mens and one woman's shower/bathroom for entire resort was very inconvenient and often had to wait in line. Two additional bathrooms by the pool could not be used, as the was no AC and the doors did not shut. Amenity usage at the Island Resort were okay, but we expected use of Destin West Condo lazy river pool.

This is our second stay here. We enjoy the close proximity to the beach and access to the Island Resort across the street! It has a great restaurant, bar and pools! It’s a bit pricey in peak season but we enjoyed it. We attended a wedding here recently!

great location, no discounts but the price is to be close or on the beach.
Facilities very nice and staff, especially Joe was more than gracious and helpful with our schedule changes.
Highly recommend and book early.

Our 4th year to vacation at Destin West. We are never disappointed. Park is always clean and staff is ver friendly and professional.

Beautiful RV resort, loved the greenery around our site, gave privacy and also a nice environment o sit outside and enjoy. Our site was easy to pull into and setup was easy. Loved our table with umbrella, nice green space right in front of us well for our dog to walk around in, Palm trees were our favorite. Office staff were very nice and welcoming. Pool area was very nice and liked it. The beach was the best, white, soft sand, Gulf was warm enough to swim in and enjoyed 3 wonderful beach days. We did venture over to the Island and loved the pool area and beach bar was really nice. It was a nice feature to have and we tried to enjoy as much as we could while there. Loved the Air Force fly overs...

Beautifully kept property that’s situated nicely—good seafood and pizza at the restaurants next door, and the resort across the street allows campers to access their pool, fitness center and beach. Friendly and helpful staff. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Love this RV park!! The location is perfect. So much to do within walking distance. Only a short drive to Destin. The views of the bay are beautiful! We will definitely be back. The staff is the best, always friendly and helpful.

The facility was nice and kept clean. The pool facility needed some work and I would have thought for the price you pay to stay there per night The pool furniture would have been something other than cheap plastic. They advertise things like community bonfires on Tuesdays and Thursdays so the kids can make s'mores that didn't happen on Tuesday or Thursday. Pretty inconvenient to get across the street to the hotel for any type of amenities when we checked in we were told that we are entitled to any of the amenities of the hotel I felt a little uncomfortable having to wear a blue band when nobody else had one we felt like just visitors when in reality we were playing every paying more than the people in the motel. One night we wanted to get some extra ice we went to the office they told us we would have to go to the gas station down the road cuz they didn't have any ice I can honestly say I've never stayed at an RV park in my life that didn't have ice and this was probably the most expensive one I've ever stayed at. Long story short I stayed at nicer RV parks for half the cost although the location was pretty good I don't think I'll ever be back.

It was nice to be able to walk to the beach and to dinner from our site. It was also nice to be able to use the shower houses, since we have a large family and only one shower in the RV. The park has very nice blooming trees between all the sites to give privacy.

This was our 2nd stay and it did not disappoint. We had some confusion/errors with an adding an extra day to our stay but once we arrived Will helped us iron it all out. He is great and aims to please. The park is clean and well kept. We did not venture over to the hotel side this time but its always great knowing its there. Thank you and see you again!

The best RV place in Destin. The only negative was crossing 4 lanes of traffic with small children to use hotel amenities. Otherwise it was perfect.

Wonderful stay! Nice site with level RV pad, bricked sites with mature landscaping separating the sites. Plenty of on site amenities (heated pool, laundry, WiFi).

The sites are very nice. There are trees and bushes between sites that provide privacy. The heated pool is perfect, and the laundry is clean and in good working order. There are several restaurants nearby, and the beach is an easy walk.

We love this park and have already reserved a site for two months next year. The staff is outstanding with special thanks to Jamie, an outstanding ambassador for the resort.

The park was well maintained, safe and conveniently located across the street from the beach. Bathhouse was clean and easy to access. Can't wait to stay again next year!

Beautiful lot. Beautiful landscaping that create privacy. Lots are large. I wish it had a different name because we assumed it was located in Destin however it is located on Okaloosa Island a few miles from Destin.

We stayed in site 2 at Destin West RV Park. Very nice sites with big open green space in front of our coach, perfect for walking the dogs. Thanks for thoughtful landscaping, there is lots of privacy. The bath houses are just ok, wish there was a bench to help set stuff down but clean and got the job done. Laundry facilities were very nice. It was awesome to be able to use the facilities at The Island Hotel too. We will definitely be staying every year. Location is amazing and close to everything.

Our sites was pretty tight, however, the location of the park was excellent and within walking distance to restaurants and bars. It also has a great area at the back of the park that looks over the bay. Park also provides nice chairs and tables to relax on while enjoying the sites over the bay.

Extremely well maintained campground. Nice people too. Unfortunately it rained the entire visit but would love to go back on a sunny day!

Misleading info on beach access. Ended up driving to public beach area down the road due to excessive walking/hauling of beach gear. Campground was top notch, amenities across the road not impressive. Staff and maintenance crew were awesome

DWRVR is and will continue to be our favored winter stay for many years to come. Jamie Miller is a phenomenal asset to the everyday operations of the resort, and John is one of the most dedicated staff members in assuring the upkeep of the resort. The resort is clean and well-maintained, and the office staff of Berry and Will are busy with making reservations. Clean showers and good laundry facilities. Multiple conveniences close to the resort...shopping, health care services, the beach and the bay, and restaurants too numerous to count. Fellow RV’ers are friendly and make our stay one of the most pleasant we have experienced.
