Destin West Rv #08 Motorhome

Love this vacation spot. So close to beach, restraunts and The Island hotel.

My experience was wonderful although alot of walking make sure you have a vehicle staff was friendly and helpful I would recommend them to anyone looking to escape to the beach if everything goes well we will be visiting soon

Excellent RV resort with an excellent view. Upon arrival the staff was incredibly friendly. Check in was a breeze and staff provided excellent information. The location is across the street from the boardwalk. The resort directly across the street has excellent amenities that you have access to. The pool was located at the bay with an excellent view. I enjoyed floating in the pool looking at the fighter jets that would fly directly overhead. Will definitely stay at this resort again.

Drove up our spot needed to be cleaner the table could have been wiped off and junk in sand could have been picked up. We had to blow off our spot which should of been checked and clean before check in. Landscaping needs to be done with mulch and shrubbery needs to be trimmed. You can’t see much of anything. Light on poles as you come in are off. Pool area needs to be straightened up nicely. Chairs are just everywhere and no umbrellas out there. As far as coming back yes we will but these are our suggestions and would love to see it back like it use to be when y’all first opened this rv park. That’s how long we have come here. Forgot one more thing chairs and tables by bay need to be replaced are paint them. Their is one that needs to go to the trash it’s seat is torn. That’s an accident waiting to happen it’s rotten. Overall I love this place but it’s time to clean it up.

We had a ton of fun. The location was great. The amenities next-door were great being able to use the resort property was amazing. The kids absolutely loved the pools and the waterfall grotto and so did we. We were very close in proximity to the beach And they did two nights a week s’mores and the kids absolutely loved it both times! We will definitely be back! Office staff super friendly and helpful!

First time here, easy to work with property. Extremely clean, very quiet . The restaurants across the street were very touristy and the food and drink were mediocre at best. The beach across the street was beautiful. For kids there is things to do very close by- miniature golf, water slide and a few things across the street.

This property claims to be pet friendly but they don’t have a dog park or any place for a dog to enjoy. When we called to book the place we were told the property across the street that we had access to was pet friendly, but when checking in the young man said it absolutely was not and our dog was not welcome anywhere on the beach or that property. We do not travel with our dog to leave her alone inside our RV, so with that said we started looking for a new RV resort that was pet friendly and found one in Navarre, Florida . With this place just 5 miles west that had a beautiful pet dog park and even an off leash dog beach! Please read the reviews and if you travel with you pup this is not the place for you. Oh and PS picnic tables covered in bird ****!

Lot 8 proved to be a wonderful place to set up camp. We enjoyed the closeness to the pool, the laundry facilities, and getting to the beach. However, since our last visit, the resort seems to be lacking some maintenance. The pool had no heater, the shower door in the women’s shower room would not close and or lock and the dock was not usable restroom.

Area seemed to be shoddier this time around. Folks less friendly; also a couple of large dogs were there. Paved portion of the pad isn’t wide enough to avoid stepping in sand, which leads to sand in motorhome. One area of serious concern is the shrubbery. Not a botanist, but if those shrubs are oleander, they may be poisonous. Worth having an expert check them. I read one leaf is enough to kill an adult, if ingested. Not for me to say, but I recommend checking it out.

Absolutley awful wifi, only good for email. The flys were horrible, couldn't sit outside at all, even on the beach.
The hotel across the street, nice pool, but the beach bar music was bad.

Facilities and sites are nice and access to the beach was convenient coupled with the amenities at the hotel across the street. But we were disappointed overall. There were large groups of people who were noisy well into the night. There was no on-site management to police the area and they didn’t seem to care. They also had many vehicles and there was no convenient place for them to park so they parked on the grass in the road. We will not be going back.

Really a nice Resort! Great location! We were able to get in the Bay on. The double red flag days or we enjoyed the pool!

The RV sites at Destin West RV resort was very small. With our 4 slides opened, we were relegated to walking in the shrubbery to get around our Class A motorhome. The water pressure was abbismal. It was so low we could not rinse the shampoo from our hair when showering. And finally, we were unable to get to sleep until after 1 AM because of the over amplified music being played at a bar next door which started at 2PM. We talked to the manager who was very rude and would only give me a phone number to a manager to a condo complex you own on the other side of said bar to which a phone receptionist would not put my call through to the manager and told me that they could do call the police. I plan on making my reviews known on social media so that others don't have to endure the kind of stay we had.

My wife and I spent three nights in March. The property is beautiful, and the ability of being able to use the hotel amenities across the street are great. However the pool restrooms/bathhouse were terribly dirty and didn't appear to be maintained. Someone had even kicked out the vent in the door of the women's restroom, and nobody took the time to repair it. The Wi-Fi Internet was very unreliable. For the price of this place, you would expect better bathrooms/maintenance and better Internet.

We booked a last minute beach getaway before school started and absolutely loved Destin West Rv Resort. Everything was clean and convenient to the surrounding area. Our kids loved playing in the bay and the pool. We will be back very soon!

Very impressed with Destin West RV! It looked beautiful online and was hoping it met my expectations based on what I read and reviewed, and it certainly did! In process of planning another trip as this is the nicest RV rental we’ve visited. Beautiful scenery, friendly staff, very clean sites, lots of local activities including fishing, boat rentals, beach visits and access to the resort pool across the street (in addition to the RV pool). Looking forward to visiting again.

We had a great stay at Destin West! Literally nothing to complain about. The sites are great, and we loved the paved pads. The location was fantastic! We’ll be back!
