Destin West Rv #12 Motorhome

We have stayed here for several years in a row and love coming back. The sites are always clean, landscaping is very nice, and the location is excellent. My only gripe is how the wi-fi works (or doesn't). They use a system similar to a hotel where a "sign-in" screen comes up before you can do anything. You would think that the wi-fi would remain operational for at least 24 hours after going through the sign-in screen, but for us it kept timing out after only a few hours. After that, we'd have to wait a while before the sign-in screen would present itself again. Okay for casual online activity but not when you're trying to work.

My first impression after walking in to check in was Joe. He set the bar high with his friendly nature and knowledge. We stayed right across from the pool and it was perfect for our girls who could skip right over and jump in. The bath houses are immaculate as are the sites and property in general. The view of the bay is unparalleled. We watched dolphins swim and pelicans dive into the water, the girls found hermit crabs, etc. Everyone camping near us was friendly and it was a truly enjoyable trip. The amenities across the street were a great bonus. Located diagonally from The Boardwalk, The Pier, and the Gulfarium, there is much to do and many food options. We'll be back!

Site 12 has beautiful Jews of the bay and close to the pool. Large sites with table and umbrella. Water pressure was frustratingly low considering the water tower is right next door. Pricey, but the location is perfect. Not a lot of value in sharing the amenities of the. Beachfront hotel, the Islands as the pools and area were crowded with hotel guests

This place doesn’t even need a review cuz they are so popular it is hard to get a reservation. Such a wonderful place to sit and watch the boat traffic or kayak in the bay, or walk across the street and be on ocean.

We have enjoyed this park for the last two years. You are very close to the beach and your choice of restaurants. It is very clean and maintained. We will be back.

We were saddened to be a return customer to this RV resort to find that their prices are extremely high and they have removed all discounts, including veteran, return customer, and Good Sam. They have no staff working the entire resort on Saturdays and Sundays, with no help for check-in. There are no hosts on site or staff on these days. They used to promote bonfires on Tuesday and Thursday nights, but we were disappointed again when nothing occurred on Thursday night. With so many campgrounds along the Emerald coast, we will be choosing a more affordable location with camp hosts on site. You can tell that this is a corporate-owned RV resort, because they don’t care about their campers anymore. There were multiple empty sites while we were there over spring break. This is completely opposite of last year where every site was full and there was caring staff available seven days a week. It’s truly a shame that corporate greed has taken over!

Had an amazing stay, the property with its sister hotel property is a perfect combination to enjoy uiet RV time and in a minute can be kn the beach and enjoy the benefits if the hotel.

We stay at Destin West RV every year and it never disappoints. The staff is outstanding and the grounds are very well kept. It's close to restaurants and any activities you choose to do. We love it!!

We love it on the bayside getting to enjoy the water views each day, paddle boarding and the pool.The beach is just across the street with restaurants and boat tours within walking distance. We are ready to book our 3rd trip to Destin West RV Resort! Can’t wait to go back again.

Very nice

This was a last-minute booking spur of the moment, RV trip from Ohio to Destin. We brought our sons family along with us, so it was a party of 6. Our grandchildren loved the pool right across from our spot. The pool was always very clean. Everyone we encountered was very friendly I loved watching the sea plane, take off from the bay right beside our spot. The resort was a great bonus across the street wish there was a quicker way besides walking two buildings down and crossing the bridge but it is better than crossing the busy four-lane highway. It’s a great place to stay and we definitely all return the RV resort is very very clean. I loved the fact that they picked up your trash from your spot every day. Thank you Destin for a wonderful family vacation.

I loved being in an end site, so there was nothing obstructing our view to the intercoastal. Only complaint about site 12 is that it is a pull in site for a motorhome, but with a one way street, the spot is angled in the wrong direction and was very difficult to pull into with a 38 ft motorhome. Could not be done without going into the grass and sand. Once settled, the spot was beautiful. We were right across from the pool, which was more like bath water, my kids never wanted to get out! Overall I was very happy with everything at Destin West, my only other complaint is that I was sick most of the trip, so we weren't able to enjoy Destin the way we normally do. Will definitely be back though!

We were lucky enough to snag one of the very few sites with a bay view. (38,12,39). We were in 12 which added a lot to our experience. The campground is very clean with long paver sites. Everyone gets a table with umbrella. You can bring a fire pit to use on cool nights. They have a community one they light up on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I would not have liked staying in one of the sites close to Miracle Strip Hwy. It's loud! You'll still hear it on the bay side but not as bad. The staff was nice. Jamie is super helpful and quick with a big smile. All the facilities are well kept. The pool is heated. The beach at The Island hotel is perfect with a beach bar and the most amazing white sand. We just loved it. They have nice pools we didn't use. One was heated. Live music and activities every day we were there. We had some cloudy/foggy days so we explored. The Gulf Island National Seashore is amazing. There are a lot of natural state parks too. The whole Emerald Coast area has a great vide with lots to do, shopping, and restaurants. If you are an oyster lover like us you'll be in heaven. Shout out to Boshamps! We had dinner on our last evening next door at Rick's. It was very good.
Needless to say we will be back!

Everything was well kept, very clean, and quaint. We will definitely be coming back next summer.

This was our first visit to Destin West RV Park and our first big travels. We didn't know how long g was long enough in one spot. If I did a do over I would have booked here for the whole 6 weeks. Clean, quiet and people were so friendly!

We stayed in lot 12, across the street from the water. Nice dock available, with stairs into shallow water. Nice for kayaks! Heated pool was clean and comfortable. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Safe access via sky bridge to resort across the street. Several restaurants and shops and an aquarium within walking distance. Definitely recommend staying here!

Number 12 was great the only negative thing is the sprinkler system. It must have had a leak and got everything outside wet. Everything else was great. Love it.

Outstanding RV resort! We will come back again. Both customer reps who checked us in and escorted us to our parking spot were outstanding and very helpful. Can't say I found anything bad about this RV resort.

We stay at Destin West at least 3 to 4 times a year we love it there great customer service, clean site Full Amenities to the Islands Hotel across the street including Pool, restraunt and beach front its definetly a great place to stay

We are repeat visitors to Destin West. Love this resort. Access to the bay is awesome. It is great that you are right next to Island Watersports and across from so many good restaurants and shopping. Management was nice and helpful. Unfortunately, water pressure here is so low that showers are miserable. Still, we return for the beauty of the resort.

We booked a week long stay and had to move sites midway between our stay. Our first spot was AMAZING! #12 is one of the best in the parks, however we had to check out on Friday due to someone having it reserved.. Well we had to load up the motorhome and kiddos and move spots..come to find out no one showed up to this spot and we basically moved for nothing. I wish the park would have had a little more communication and maybe could of called the person who no showed so we could of stayed. They didn't care to try to accommodate us bc someone was paying for the spot empty or not. Other than that, the park is great and well maintained.

We were in Destin for my granddaughter’s cheer competition. The RV resort is just a few hundred yards from the venue.

This was our second time visiting Destin West RV resort. We absolutely live this place! The amenities at the resort and the hotel across the street are awesome!

We stayed her 2X this month in our hopping around the gulf. Jamie was great to help with parking my oversized trailer and picking up a propane tank from our portable tank. I cannot find anything but great things to say about this place.. Booked 10 Days for next year.. Lots of fun stuff, bars all walking distance.

Loved everything about our stay at Destin West RV Resort (except maybe the weather) Absolutely loved site #12. We were across from the pool and had a great view of the water. Check-in was a breeze with very friendly staff. Always a smile and a hello. If only the weather would have been a bit warmer.
