Destin West Rv #40 Motorhome

We had a great time at Destin West RV Resort. Everything was how we remembered it from the past.

Very quiet, easy acces to the fun watersports (steps), you can bring your sky there next entrance you can use it for it. Resort is very clean,parquin are privates most of then, i stayed at 40 and and was perfect!! .

Very good , staff was very courteous

Great small RV park just across from gulf. Location was right on bay with great sunset views. We used our Jeep to go to beach as crossing Hwy 98 was difficult on foot. Parking was easy in large public lot with no fees. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Nice location, restrooms not very clean, totally overpriced at more than $180,00 per night for a 21' campervan

This is one of our favorite places to stay. We were blessed with beautiful beach weather and took full advantage of the amenities offered by the Island hotel across the road.
My only complaint was the extremely loud music resonating from Ricks next door that went on for 4 days and well into the early morning hours. Hoping that was a one and done event.

Everyone there was very nice and accommodating.

We stayed at the Destin RV resort for the entire month of December. Although the weather was not the best. We felt as though the park maintenance was lacking in a lot of areas. The lights were not kept up great. They were hoses exposed all over the place some of the wire boxes were opened and broken. There was no grass or mulch around the areas. It was just sand, which makes it extremely hard to keep any RV clean. Also, where you sit along the water, the waterfront was caving in in many areas, so it made it really uncomfortable to go and sit there. The pool was also closed on and off for several occasions. There was also an older gentleman working behind the counter, who we found to be quite rude on several occasions, made an unpleasant trying to get anything from the office. We had a 45 foot rig in the spot that they put us in, had no place to park our toe other than sideways.

Very pleasant experience and will go back.

We had no time after and Erika tried to have us move from the beautiful place we reserved to the worst place they had which they obviously couldn’t rent because it was a terrible location. We reserved a beautiful spot at the very back of the place next to the water space #40 where it was quiet and away from the Highway. However, when we got there we discovered the pipe to the water was busted and therefore we could not hook up to the water. We checked in on a Thursday and they sent a maintenance guy down to see if he could fix it and he couldn’t and told us they might be able to move us. We told him we didn’t want to move so he tried to tell Erika whom we were told was the manager and she sent him to tell us we had to move and the location was a horrible place right in the front next to the highway and where there were all these bright lights from the next door property that shown down on this campsite all night long. We told him to tell Erika to come see us because we have fresh water in our onboard holding tank so we can stay in the site we reserved without hooking up to water until they repair the broken pipe and we did not want to move as we reserved this particular spot for a reason. Well she did not come talk to us so I tried calling and never got to speak to anyone so I left as message asking her to call me. That was at 5:22 in the evening. An hour later I still had no phone call from anyone so I called again and left another messsage. I also called the emergency number we were given and all I got was a voice recording saying to leave a message which I also did. I never got a call back from the emergency line nor from anyone at the resort finally 24 hours later Erika called me and she said we needed to move because they contacted a plumber and he said he could not be there until the following Monday. I ask for a discount for staying with no water and was refused. Terrible management

This RV resort is so close and convenient to the ocean! The grounds are beautiful with plenty of room between campsites and many have bushes for privacy. To get to the ocean/beach, you can walk across the street in front, take the crosswalk, or go down a block to the light. Very clean and quiet. No ‘camp store’ but close to a Publix. Great restaurant next door at Ricky’s with live entertainment every night and across the street...Must visit Rockin’ Tacos! Resort could benefit with an ice machine. Staff is very helpful with places to visit and very knowledgeable of the area. We had a great week! Definitely will return!

Best place to RV ever! Great sites and more fun than you can handle with in a 1/2 walk... Jamie is a great help and been there to assist us many times

We stayed ar Destin West for 5 nights and really enjoyed it. Large sites, manicured grounds, very quiet, nice and accommodating staff. Can’t wait to return.

My wife and I stayed there for all January and February. The facility is very well maintained thanks to a good staff but particular shout out to Jamie who is gold start employee. Special thanks to Joe at the front desk, always happy and helpful. Convenient laundry facility. Swimming pool was clean and pleasant. New site tables were being installed. We hope the bar height tables and chairs along the bay are next as they are showing their age and wear. We appreciate the ability to have mail and packages delivered to the office.

We found Destin West last year and we were destined to return! Love this park and the attention to details in every site. Ricks next door is a great marina restaurant and many choices and activities are just a short walk or drive away.

We will be back!

We loved Destin West RV! This was the perfect location right on the bay and across the street from the ocean. We enjoyed the restaurants nearby and the mini golf/arcade next door. Definitely will be planning a return trip!

Just spent two nights at the RV resort. Very helpful and courteous staff. Great location to beach and restaurants. With the access to the beachfront resort, you have everything you would ever want.

As usual, we had the experience of our life. Dog friendly and kid friendly. Great restaurants within walking distance. Amenities are many. Staff awesome. Thanks Jamie for taking care of us.

First off Destin Florida was beautiful. The resort was just as beautiful, clean and peaceful. We stayed at site 40 and it was the second slot next to the water. This was our first time in a motor home and now we are hooked. I have and will recommend this location to anyone who is interested to stay in Destin Florida.

We stayed for two nights with our 45’ coach. Spaces are narrow and we had to walk on dirt to get to our front door. We had about the best site for the size of our coach, an easy pull in and back out. No pull throughs here. Space 39 has best view of the ocean. The park is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. The pool was closed during our visit which didn’t matter to us as we had rain. We would stay again.

We stayed 3 nights at the Destin West RV resort. It was our first visit but will certainly not be our last. We found the resort to be beautifully landscaped with paved spaces. It was very well maintained. The staff were very friendly & we have already made reservations to return in the near future. P,us it was a dog friendly park
