Destin West Rv #42 Motorhome

We had 6 people in our party, and none of us could stay connected to wifi. The property was good, great location and well maintained.

Our camping site had great shade and privacy. (Site #42) Would highly recommend. Overall a great experience with a couple of exceptions. The wi-fi is basically non existent. On our first morning there we noticed that some sites had umbrellas for their tables and we did not have one. We walked up to the office to ask if we could get one. The gentleman up front came up on a golf cart and startled our dog who barked at him. Our dog was on lead and no threat whatsoever to him and he snapped at us to get that dog away he had been bitten 4 times at this resort and he was not going through that again. I chose to ignore the comment because I chalked it up to him being nervous. I then asked if we could get an umbrella for our table and he rudely replied if we could find one to get it. With that we just left the office and found our own umbrella for our table.

My first point of contact was with Barry on the phone and he made me laugh. You could take his personality any way you want, but I choose to take it lightly and I booked right after we spoke. Thanks Barry for a good laugh.

On our date of arrival, we were running late so I contacted the office and was greated with a big "just peachy" from Joe. I could hear Joe's smile through the phone. Joe was able to give me very accurate details of how our after hours check in would be and to meet him up at the office in the a.m. When we arrived Joe had everything waiting for us and we set up our RV for the night with no issues. Our first impression of the park was how well maintained and how perfect the lights were for the evenings. Our lot was lot 42 and it has the perfect amount of privacy but also a gorgeous view of the bay. We were within a few minutes walking distance from the heated pool too!!!

Meeting Joe was exactly how I imagined it would be!!! We walked up and were greated again with a "just peachy" and his big smile!!! He quickly and promptly explained everything to us and gave us some dining pointers for the area.

We were able to take advantage of everything the Island Resort across the road had to offer. It was beautiful and perfect for our family.

I will say this beautiful little RV resort was a little piece of paradise. We met some of the loveliest guests who all had been returning guests! I think that says alot about how wonderful the resort is. The park was peaceful at all times, especially during the night, so our sleeps were amazing!!

Clean, well kept. Close to everything but feel bit over priced as hotels in the area are in the same price range. If I visited at again would rent condo at Destin West as our other family members did

A nice, quiet location at the back of the resort with easy access to the bay and across the street from the ocean. The landscaping company doesn't seem to be doing as much upkeep as in years past, coupled with rising rent rates. The location of the resort fits our needs nicely with an abundance of amenities and restaurants close by. This is our home away from home and hope to continue returning for many years to come assuming the rates do not become unaffordable. We have always had excellent customer service from the staff here at the resort.

Destin West is one of our favorite places. Perfect location with water all around. Very pet friendly.

Have no complaints. Loved the location and the campground.

Beautiful RV Resort with great sites. All sites are concrete pavers with large plant’s between you and your neighbors giving plenty of privacy. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Bay views are amazing and with the access to The Island the amenities are great. Beach is just across the street, street is a little busy but we never had any problems crossing.

We had a great stay at this resort. Very clean and well maintained. Convenient to the property across the street with great beach and an awesome pool. Walking distance to the boardwalk with several restaurants and shops. Evenings sitting on the bay side in the breeze, watching the boats come in and one evening saw the dolphins frolicking. We would definitely go back there.

We always love staying here, already booked next years trip.

We had a excellent experience except for the mosquitos. The mosquitos were so bad that we could never eat outdoors and had to eat every meal inside our Motorhome.

It would be nice to have a walk around our slides instead of through the sand before the pad were the tables are.

We had a great time at the Destin West RV Resort. Wish we had planned on staying longer. But you never know what to expect the first time. We have already booked a longer stay for next year. A beautiful place to relax .

We enjoyed the campground! Lots were private. All staff was courteous and helpful!
I really enjoyed the high top tables by the water, very peaceful. Our complaint would be trying to cross road to beach or just going in and out, Traffic was an issue

Last minute weekend reservation. Very helpful and pleasant staff, beautiful, clean, sites, nicely spaced with landscaping between the sites. Great amenities to include amenities of associated hotel across the street. Walkable beach access.

Destin West is our favorite spot to camp. Very friendly staff. Great site pads. Beautiful views of the bay and gulf across the street behind The Island Hotel which you have access to all hotel amenities also.
