Destin West Rv #54 Motorhome

Overall the park was nicely landscaped and well kept, the only problem with our specific site was the dumpster located behind us which was dumped daily before 5 am most days not sure if there is another location for it though

This is the second time we stayed at this location. It’s a great place to stay. The beach is right across the street and the amenities of the hotel are fantastic, including the use of the pools.

This was our last stop and it was the best. Having the opportunity to enjoy all the resort facilities made the stay amazing.

Great little RV Park. Our site was clean, all hookups worked well and were in a good spot. The site were a little close together- but they have pretty bushes/ flowers/ trees to help with privacy. The spot was right next to the beach and the bay. Just down the road from places to eat/ things to do. We stayed in site #54.. and I probably wouldn't do that again. While we were away from other guests- we were next to the road and a light was bright through our window. It wasn't terrible, but in hind sight- I would have chosen closer to the bay instead. We didn't use the RV Park pool, but did take full advantage of the "Island Resort" across the street.
Would absolutely stay here again.

O recepecionista,um senhor idoso foi muito grosseiro qdo fomos fazer o check in, não tem uma loja de convenience para produtos específicos utilizados em RV, como paper higiênico, o camping é localizado em uma via extremamente movimentada e com trânsito lento no final da tarde vc fica presa por pelo menos 1hr nele. Só tem um banheiro e ducha para homens e só um para mulheres, ou seja, deixa a desejar no quesito infra- estrutura. A praia que eles sescrevem no site como próxima é do outro lado dessa via movimentada e com acesso muito ruim para quem leva todas as coisas de praia como carrinho, Guarda sol, cadeiras... Enfim, não indico.

Beautiful setting; clean, well maintained, friendly staff, nice heated pool, reasonably priced washer’s & dryers.
WIFI very poor. Road is very noisy all times of day!

Been coming for years and it used to be very nice trash picked up and trash can emptied mulch nice and neat lot cleaned and blowed off and pathways trimmed so you could walk and pool was never dirt it was TOTALLY opposite now they charge more and place is a dump I have picture if you like to see them we left two days early to look for a new place down there to vacation

Perfect rv vacation spot! Across the road from the beach, the Boardwalk and many restaurants and activities. Must eat at Stinky's restaurant 30 minutes away!!!

Understandably with the prime location the sites are a little narrow. It would be great if the bushes were cut back more to enable moving around our large motorhome more easily. The sprinklers also ran all day, so that became another obstacle. Along with the great location near the beach and activities is a lot of traffic. I would recommend this park more for younger families with smaller trailers than large coaches.

This is a lovely RV park. Although we were next to the street, the spot was perfect. The park is exceptionally clean and well kept. The amenties were clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The nights were peaceful and quiet. I don't think we could have had a better experience other than if we were able to get spot 39 on the water. I would recommend without a doubt. We will definitely be going back. Lovely place!

Very nice RV resort. Only downfall is the busy four lane highway that you have to cross to get to the beach.

The site is super well maintained and all of the folks are super friendly! Love that the bay is on the end of the campground and the beach is across the street. A wonderful thing is that you get wrist bands that allow you to use the facilities at the big hotel across the street.
We will go there again in the future.

we loved everything at the campground we would recommend Destin West it was all and more than what we had hoped for. A Special thanks to Jamie who really is so help full looking after all of the campers and in some cases fixing his guests RV at the end of his busy day. Brian

Had a great stay visiting family at the park for Christmas

We had an amazing stay overnight with Destin West RV Park. We were beyond crushed that we were mid travel across the country and couldn’t stay more than one night due to our timeline. Boy were we disappointed we stayed that extra day in Colorado at the beginning of our travels! We used the laundry facilities (very clean and conveniently located), uses the walkway next-door to get to the beach property (about 10 min walk with littles but the safest route), we also walked the RV Park property and enjoyed the scenery by the pool/dock and dipped our feet in the chilled water to relax after our arrival. About the only downside (that doesn’t our weigh the good) is the trash that gets picked up in a big metal dumpster at 5am next to site 54, and that the street traffic morning and evening is highly heard from that site. Like I said it doesn’t outweigh all the good and didn’t bother us too much. I am thankful that I found this place, we will ABSOLUTELY be back!! Staff were courteous and friendly at check in! You won’t go wrong booking here.

Nice level paver pads. The foot bridge across Miracle strip to all the restaurants is invaluable. Great place, recommend highly.

The back of the park offers a great view of the bay where I drank my coffee at the bistro tables each morning. The Gulf (a long walk) was my favorite outdoor restaurant. Rick's next door has good pizza...bad live music the night we went though :). Having access to the Island Resort across the street was nice. I wish there were more sidewalks and boutiques for shopping nearby like other resort towns. That was the only downside of the area. However, we would definitely bring our RV back to Destin West RV Resort.

Easy check in process with friendly staff. Sites were easy to back in to and had decent space. Also had good separation between neighbors. Pool was nice and clean and great place to go when to windy at beach. Garbage was picked up at site frequently.
Bathhouses were fine but not great. Laundry worked really well (better than most I have used.) WIFI did not work well but I do believe it is in the process of being upgraded.
Walk to skywalk over highway was further than I expected because you had to get to the driveway of the Resort it was connected to. It wasn't "too far" just farther than I thought it would be.
The Island Beach Bar was nice as well as the ability to use the Pools and Beach access, as the Resort next to the Island does not let anyone not staying at their resort use their path to the beach.

Had hard wire cable, WIFI was sketchy.

Proximity to the beach, restaurants, and shops are perfect. Pick a spot further from the main road and you’ll enjoy the bay views.

Always our first choice for gulf coast

We enjoyed the brief stay but thought the resort was Beach front. We had a long walk to the beach. The site was very clean and nice.

Great location, great lots, near the beach. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, upon our departure, one of the resort employees stepped into the extremely busy highway and held traffic so we could enter. Lot 54 is nearest to the highway so we got a little more noise than expected.

Overall the resort was very nice and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed being near the bay and the location was great for getting to Ft. Walton and Destin. Our only issue was that the lot sizes were fairly narrow for large class A coaches. Once our slide outs were extended we had to walk into the landscaping in order to get from the rear of the coach to our door.
