A back-in site for towable camping trailers like fifth-wheels and airstreams. Hookups will be on the driver's side with patio on the passenger side. Traffic rotation is counterclockwise.

Just steps from the sugary white sands of the Gulf of Mexico and directly on the bay, it's the ideal location for your summer vacation, spring or fall trip, and winter get-a-way. Landscaped with tropical palms, flowering oleanders and bottle brush trees you'll think you're in an island paradise. And you are.
Our RV Resort is within walking distance of Florida's world-famous beaches on the Emerald Coast just 5 minutes from Destin in Fort Walton Beach. We are on located on Okaloosa Island, which is part of the Gulf Island National Seashore. You'll enjoy everything our coastal community has to offer including beautiful sights, excellent restaurants, entertainment, family fun activities, fishing more. All RV sites are brick paved, 74 feet long, and include a patio and picnic table with lush landscape dividers. Plus, soak in the sun and view, at our waterfront pool complete with tables, umbrellas, and comfortable lounge chairs.
While at the RV Resort, you will have access to all our excellent amenities. We have a community bonfire and s' mores every Tuesday and Thursday evening. The panoramic views of the Choctawhatchee Bay could keep you mesmerized for hours. Built-in stairs and platform provide for quick and easy access to the bay for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, or just relaxing. For your convenience, we also have a 24-hour credit card only laundry and bathhouse. At the check-in office, you'll find resort memorabilia, local information, camping supplies, a give-and-take book library, and fun stories if you ask :)
To top it off, you also receive access to every amenity at the Gulf front resort, The Island, by Hotel RL. Located directly across the street, The Island boasts the famous grotto waterfall pool with a seasonal swim-up bar. The Island also offers a hot tub, heated lap pool, lounge space, and most importantly, beach access! It doesn't stop there, The Island has indoor and outdoor eateries including a beachfront bar, poolside grill, and lobby restaurant. You can even book and host your event or wedding at The Island.

This is probably one of the worst campgrounds we’ve stayed at. Sand and dirt is your site. They only upside of this was being able to use the pool and facilities across the street.
I don’t know how they get away with charging the prices , they do.

We stayed at Destin West RV resort for our family summer vacation and it was wonderful and so close to everything. We loved all the amenities that it had to offer and the amenities connected to the hotel across the street. It is very family friendly and the sites are very clean.

We werevlooking for a long weekend get away and DWRVR was perfect! Sites were well maintained and landscaped. The check in guy was extremely pleasant and helpful. We live on the Emerald Coast but never explored FWB (the city) and really took it in this time with restaurants and Friday night concert at the landing. The food truck court was our go to for morning coffee. Access to the beachside resort was very nice but not our style. We'll definitely be back to this park.

Great campsite. Easy to navigate, flat pads, up market facilities, clean.
Only downside was trying to get in and out of the place. Incredibly busy road during the day. Don't miss your turn as it'll take all day to u-turn then cross the road.

Very good location, clean and well maintained. Parking the RV is a breeze. Pool could be bigger, beach could closer and some additional amenities could be convenient. But that is not what we were looking for. We were looking to a place to make us feel part of the Destin vibe and this location does that with flying colors.

This was our first time visiting Destin West RV and it will not be our last! Check in was super easy. I think the gentleman’s name was William (pardon me if that’s incorrect) but he was so friendly and was telling me about places to eat nearby! So helpful!
We loved this campground! Very well kept and the landscaping was perfect and beautiful! We will be returning hopefully sooner rather later later!
