Destin West Rv #10 Motorhome

We have been staying here for 6 years now and three other families come from different states to meet up with there grandchildren. It has been very nice until this year. The place needs a lot of TLC. The landscape needs to be filled in. The bushes and trees need to be trimmed up. The pathway to the pool lights were not working very dark there and the bushes there were very grown up. The pool chairs were filthy, But the staff is very nice. We will be staying there next year same time. Hopefully it will be better.

The resort is nice, the sites are tight but adequate. About 30 yards away is a bar that has live outdoor music going until 2:00 AM. It is so loud it is hard to sleep. We were there a Thursday and Friday, so I'm not sure how loud it is other nights. It was an invite only at the bar, so you can't go over and have a drink either.

We have stayed at Destin West RV Resort many times. Great place! Very clean, great for kids and family pets. On the bay side and has a really nice view of boats and the water. Next door is a restaurant, Rick’s on the Island. And across the street you can enjoy the hotel’s amenities. Super nice. We always enjoy our stay.

We were very please with our stay. Well maintained staff very friendly and very familiar with the area gave full information on camping grounds plus explained how amenities worked at hotel across street.
Entering and exiting Resort can be a challenge, very busy area

We loved our spot! One space away from the pool, bay, and just to the left of the fence opening to the restaurant next door. Wednesday nights they have fireworks across from the restaurant. We can walk across the bridge to the beach or drive across to free parking. We had inflatable kayaks and could kayak in the bay- the water was about 2’deep. It was fantastic. The beach was family oriented and not crowded like Destin can be. The location was clean, quiet, peaceful and staff was attentive. We stayed 8 days Highly recommend!

The site was ok, too tight for our like. I feel suffocated. We live the fact that we were close to the bay, we walk and sit to see it. Beautiful view. The use of the across street pool by the beach beautiful and relaxing, very family friendly. Now bathrooms, on the camp site, very dirty, and not sitting paper where supplied. The shower floors nasty, it’s a private camp ground and it should be kept on a much better bathroom clean standard. Very disappointed by that. On the cross street bathroom by the pool, same. Dirty and paper every where.

First timers here!!! We can not wait to return. Already planning our next trip. Super clean park, warm pool especially for the kids since Spring Break 2023 was colder weather.

Had a great time, and the family was able to stay at the hotel across the street, which made everyone happy!

Best place to stay within 300 miles!

This place is a gem for us and really enjoyed our stay ! The staff ( Jamie ) made us feel special and did everything to make us comfortable !! We have booked for next year!!

Love this place, clean, long paved parking spaces, beautiful water on both sides.

Very nice place to stay. The staff was helpful with any questions... The staff picked up trash 2-3 times a day . And the access to The Islands is also awesome place to swim, drink and get some sun... we will be back in April

We hadn't been back since 2012 and the place was just like our kids had remembered but better!

Definitely one of the cleanest, classiest RV parks in existance. The resturant right next door
Is so convenient and all the opportunities across the highway are without equal and the gulf is right there. A bit oricey maybe but you Definitely get your money's worth. We will most Definitely return. Oh yeah, the staff was great as well!

I love this place. Have been coming here for 9 years. Some things need a little improvement. Shrubbery beds could use some trimming up and mulching. Bricks by bayside need to definitely be fixed several are caving in. And needs new chairs and tables out there.

The site was nice, clean and close to the pool and water. Staff were nice and helpful. The only complaint was next door Rick's had music playing two nights until 1:30a and it was loud. Staff apologized when we were leaving. Not their fault.

We loved having access to The Island hotel across the street! You cannot beat the amenities between both Destin West and The Island! We loved the view of the bay and walking the gorgeous beach! Restaurants and shopping all in walking distance! We will definitely be back!

We only stayed a few nights but definitely will be returning when we are traveling thru the area.

As an owner of a RV Rental company we always recommend places to stay .
This was my first trip to Destin and I will definitely send our customers to this resort .

Love this resort great sites and a great location!

It was a great 4 days at Destin West RV resort. All was as they promoted it. The only thing I would suggest is the cable TV needs improvement.

We didn't use the hotel benefits, but we enjoyed the RV pool, sitting by the water. The staff was extremely helpful, sites are well maintained and offer privacy.

Very friendly staff got us checked in efficiently and even helped unhook our tow vehicle. Our site has lovely landscaping and pavers. Although sites are close together, the landscaping gives privacy. The use of the Island Resort across the road was a wonderful bonus. The waterfall pool and afternoon DJ music were delightful. It was like having the best of both camping and resort stay.

I would love to tell people that it was horrible so we would have no problem getting reservations again, but the location was fantastic for us. We could easily get our kids back and forth on the boat, drop things off easily, etc. The location to the food at this end of the island is perfect for us. We are looking forward to our next vacation here. The only thing I would recommend would be more laundry facilities. That was a struggle to get in there, had to go at 530 am.

Always a fun experience at this RV park! The beach and resort access is great! Only tiny inconveniences were limited water pressure, had to use my RVs pump and water supply to make up for lack of water pressure while showering. Also, no digital cable TV, only snowy analog, but was able to get many clear stations using RVs antenna.

It’s was great like always very friendly staff!!! It’s always very clean my wife and I have been staying here for several years sometimes 2 times a year.

My only complaint is the location of the sign into theRV resort. When you’re driving a 40’ RV with traffic behind you you can’t stop on a dime. The sign should be highly visible from the main road, before the entrance, not after.
