Destin West Rv #01 Motorhome

Outstanding stay. Our second visit to Destin West. Great location. Easy to get around. Love the access to the beach via the foot bridge. Great accommodation s. Very clean. Pleasant staff.

Extremely nice staff, well manicured spots, concrete and paver sites, very nice table/umbrella/bench at each site, able to use hotel across the street, location is on bay but across the street from beach, very clean laundry and bathhouse. Nothing negative about this place!

Beautiful park and Spot 1 was convenient and private for having dogs.
Bathrooms are in need of some updating and that code is very long to remember

Beautiful RV park. Grounds and pool well maintained. Maintenance guy (“JD”) friendly and helpful. Office manager could have given me a better response when I complained about the cold shower. He would “put it on his bucket list”. No left turn onto main highway due to traffic. Made reservations in Jan. For June stay and got the last spot available. I would stay there again.

We stayed in this park when they first opened (maybe 8 years ago?) We weren’t sure about the spot 1 by the office and not by the bay since we knew there would be more traffic noise.

We were so pleased at how much they have built up the landscaping to make your spot feel so private. We were close to the bathhouse and the skywalk to go over to the Island Hotel amenities and the beach. We also walked over to the restaurants by the Island hotel to eat most nights. We liked that you put your trash on the curb and they picked up several times a day and that the people running the place were there if needed but left you alone to enjoy your vacation. Excellent interactions with all staff. It was a wonderful stay!

Nicely kept park on the Bay with dock access and heated pool. Spots are full hookup (30/50) with pavers and picnic table. The condo/beach access is directly across the road. There is also a nice laundry room and bath house onsite if needed. No complaints, we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful view of the bay and great pool that’s heated year round. Next door to Rick’s on the island restaurant that was the best place to eat. All around perfect place!

This is a nice, clean park that is well built and managed. It is within walking distance to many restaurants and the Beach. We will book again!

This place is one of the best places our family has visited. Only thing that would exceed expectations is for it to be on the BEACH, however it is located on a bay. Still impressive! Office staff was so helpful, it felt like family. Parking our tow vehicle and trailer was smooth and easy. I am going back again first chance I get! You have access to all the hotel RESORT ammenities directly across the steet and the ocean, it was just phenomenal. Resort stores, restaurants, pool and bars was just overwhelming great. Kids had tons of things to do. Adjacent to the RV establishment was restaurants & bars to accommodate anthing you want or need. Family time can is abundantly everywhere during the day, while grown folks time consumed the nights if you wanted to roll like that. Loved it all! Purchased way to much stuff because I never want to forget this wonderful adventure there! Just go see for yourself. Youm ust go to McGuires Pub, why? Just carry your azz and see. Get the fresh RED ALE beer if that's what you are into with a steak! Happy trails! Signed, The Hubby and RV driver.

Quiet, clean, private and convenient to beaches and restaurants. This was our second stay. We will visit again.

The Destin West RV is so much more than a camp site. Rather than spending $350/night to stay in a hotel we chose rent an RV, travel a bit and end up in Fort Walton Beach / Destin. The staff was gracious, friendly, warm and inviting. They offered everything we expected and then some. Great location, great value. One of the finest locations we've ever stayed at in an RV. Thanks for a wonderful end to a fabulous vacation.

Very clean and well taken care of RV Park. We enjoyed our stay here.

Excellent customer service from the booking to the check in process. Upon arrival we were greeted and explained how everything worked in the RV park. Staff were always one hand to answer any questions.

There were so many nice people staying there and everyone was so friendly. A nice place to stay. The beach is just across the busy highway but still easy to access depending on the time of day. The sound side of the water is located just steps from the park. We were able to see several dolphins swimming in the sound.

The only downsides of the stay were windy conditions most days and traffic noise during the day. There also seemed to be a lot of emergency vehicles making noise more than used to at other locations. All out of the control of the park owners.

Definitely will return in the future if back in the area.

THESE PEOPLOE ARE FANTASTIC TO WORK WITH I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. THEY WERE EXTREMELY NICE ON THE PHONE AND IN PERSON. IT WAS OUR FIRST RV TRIP THEY SHOWED US HOW TO HOOKUP AND HOW TO UNHOOK AND WERE SO PATIENT WITH US.

Relaxing and Fun

If you enjoy camping, but also the amenities of a resort, then this is the place for you! It is such a clean, peaceful, and beautiful RV resort! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and there are so many things to do for kids and adults in and around this resort. This will definitely be our beach camping spot!

We had a wonderful time at Destin West and have already told many people. We plan to return soon.

We had a great time and we met buy one of the grounds staff that helped us find our spot and get parked.
The young man inside was very helpful and nice.
Beautiful site right on the sound with a very clean and well-kept pool.
Would definitely recommend if someone else I had a great time.

Our 3rd time here , definitely not our last. We love destin west RV ... perfect location and love having access to the resort across the street.

We've stayed at Destin West RV Resort during February for the last 4 years, so we must like it here. Not the warmest time of the "snowbird" season, but also not as much traffic as farther south and east in FL. While staying at the RV resort, you have access to some additional amenities across Rt. 98 at The Island Hotel, which sits on the beach of the Gulf. The weather is always iffy in February, but still a great break from colder weather farther north...

We had a terrific week in our Class A motorhome in Destin West. All the hook ups were as expected, and that means very good! The staff was terrific. We needed a little help with our cable hook up and they brought over a test unit and new cable, which they left with us to use. Over and above! Thx. Everything was clean and orderly which also speaks to the clientele- a bunch of retirees. Very nice representation of our country. Access to the beaches was by an overhead walkway which kept us off of the highway. Highly recommend this place. Hated to leave. Will return!!!
