Destin West Rv #49 Motorhome

We really enjoyed our stay here. Nice park,great location, friendly and helpful staff.

Pretty nice place and we were looking forward to ammenities but the hotel access was not avail. 2 of 3 days. They had plenty of time to tell us before we arrived via email that the HIV positive conference did not want us in the hotel while they were there??? Gave us a menial discount. Need to improve pool bath/shower. NO ice or basic supplies available in office. Advice is to CALL AHEAD campground and hotel

Nice place. Hook-up was easy. Water, sewer and electric easily accessible. Beautiful view at the waters edge while watching all of the boating and jet ski activity. The pool is nice but use of the pool and amenities across the street at the Island Hotel was enjoyable. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance but you definitely need a vehicle to explore beyond that.

We loved our stay at your park. My only complaint would be no WiFi and a little pricey

We had a great time at Destin West RV Resort. Friendly, helpful staff.. We were only few miles from Destin and Fort Walton... Beach across the street.. Great places to eat... We plan on staying there again!!!

While the sites are pavers, it is surrounded by sand. Unfortunately the sand gets all over your hookups which makes a mess when setting up and trying to pack back up. If I would have known this prior I would not have stayed there. Location is the only thing this place has going for it.

Have camped here many times. Great location, conveniently located near several restaurants and beautiful beaches. First time I've seen the grounds in need of care. Lots of ant beds and loose sand.

Stayed for 3 nights while visiting neice

We stayed at the resort for one night on our way out west on our post-retirement US road trip. We couldn’t have been happier with the facilities and location. Although we didn’t have much time to experience, the access to the beachside “Island” resort was well worth the nightly cost. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Five stars!!

Very nice rv resort. Clean, well maintained and conveniently located. Nice being able to utilize the amenities at the Island resort. The area in the inland bay was a lot of fun for the kids looking for crabs.

Stayed for a week and overall very satisfied. The shower by the pool was pretty messy and gross with lots of wet toilet paper scattered around the floor but to be fair I used it very early in the mornings and perhaps the cleaning crew was scheduled for later in the day. The wi-fi leaves a bit to be desired. Although plenty fast enough for streaming on multiple devices it very often booted you off and you had to go through the process of reconnecting through a 3rd party to get connected again. It appeared as this was by design and was somewhat annoying considering what you pay for the sites. The site, however, was VERY clean and well maintained and the office and staff were very helpful and professional. I will definitely stay here again.

We had a great experience. A lovely spot with beautiful landscaping. Really couldn't see your neighbors.

First visit to this area and it did not disappoint. WE truly enjoyed our stay at Destin West. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The RV park was very well kept and clean. Definitely will return.

This was our first stay. The campground is incredibly clean, well-kept, the office staff and maintenance people were very helpful and nice. Ricks island bar is walkable right next to the campground. Beautiful beach across the street we will be back!

Beautiful park. We have a 36ft class A and flat tow and jeeep wrangler and had plenty of room. We definitely be staying here again.

Our RV site was level and featured nice pavers which really helped to keep the RV clean. The sites were separated by beautiful landscaping providing us privacy. The location was perfect. We were in walking distance of the bay, the beach, shops and restaurants. The resort has a nice little pool, fishing area and very nice laundry and bath facilities. The only slight negative was a little road noise and aircraft noise from nearby air force base. But we definitely would stay here again and again.

This is the ultimate RV experience Bay at the back, Gulf across the street. pure white sugar sand beach. The Rv park is clean immaculately maintained and the staff is exceptional, and welcoming.

Good visit close to the dog walk, however we could not get any tv and the gate code for the bath house did not work.Someone stoled our umbrella on the picnic table.

Absolutely love Destin West RV. Great staff and the grounds are always clean and maintained. Walking distance to lots of restaurants, mini golf, boat rentals, etc...

Site 49 is a great length to hold our class A RV and our towed vehicle. Easy to navigate in and out of the site. Conveniently located across the street from the beach and park sits right on the bay. Have stayed here many times. Pool was nice, we did not use the bath house. Only negative was the amount of dog poop that was not picked up, which is more of dog owners responsibility as the park provides many doggie poo bags and trash cans every where so owners can dispose.

Never any drama, clean, ready, fun

We really enjoyed our stay at Destin West RV Resort. The grounds were very clean and quiet. The landscaping is very pretty. If your site is not on the bay, it only takes a few steps to get there. The sunsets are amazing. People were fishing for small fish off the dock there and we had a great time searching for crabs and hermit crabs in the water around the dock, which is very shallow. They have a boat rental company next door where we rented a boat to go out to Crab Island. If you can stomach the cost to do that I would highly recommend it as it was the highlight of the trip. There’s an arcade next door to one side and a putt-putt golf place on the other side. There are many restaurants within walking distance. You can use the pool and amenities at the hotel across the street. The amazingly beautiful beach is across the street as well. If the pool and beach across the street is too crowded for your taste, the campground has a small pool that is more relaxed and less crowded. The only reason why I’m giving this campsite a 4 star review is the high cost to stay there. The location and atmosphere for me was definitely 5 stars.

Upon arrival we were signed in and given a map and sent on our way. Yes it is a small resort but felt the employee sitting in the golf cart could have shown us. The sites are fairly deep but very thin. We were in a Class A motorhome and once the slides were out you had to walk in the landscaping to get around to the front door and patio. Noticed this was the same for all pull in sites that had the patio at the back. All sites had full hookups. However the water pressure is extremely low, around 30 psi or lower. Had to use onboard water pump for showers, dishes, toilets.
Overall the park is very clean, nicely landscaped and the staff are very friendly. Very good restaurant with nightly music right next door, Rick's on the Island.

Great place, very clean quite we really enjoyed are stay here

We stayed a few nights during spring break. Rates were very expensive, possibly because we stayed during spring break. With taxes and all, it was close to $200 per night. The area was very clean with nice pads and landscaping. Access to the hotel across the street was a nice bonus. The pool was exceptional but too cold at this time of the year to use. Location gave us good access to Destin and Navarre. I’d prob stay here again if the rates were closer to $100 per night
